The Disability Information Bureau is based in Macclesfield and Congleton and provides a free and confidential information service on all aspects of disability to disabled people, carers and professional and organisations.

We offer a range of services including:

  • An IT learning centre equipped with a large range of adaptive technology
  • Access Appraisals
  • Disability Awareness Training
  • Dyslexia software and support
  • Support with disability benefit enquires including a form filling service
  • Wheelchair Loan
  • Employment support for people on health related benefits who are seeking to gain employment.
I have a strong background in Human Resource Management and Recruitment from my previous roles within the NHS. Therefore, I am able to provide appropriate support and guidance in my current role as an Employment Advisor to clients.

Through the pre-employment training that I provide I am able to assess a clients knowledge, skills and experience. In addition to this, I work on a regular one to one basis with the client and this can involve coaching, problem solving skills and on-going employment skills training.
