Connexions Cheshire and Warrington support Young People aged 13-19 and this includes the provision of Information Advice and Guidance in schools ,the Community and the Youth Service. Adult Guidance is available in Connexions centres as part of the Next Step Contract
DONATIONS Tell us what you have donated to the KISS group over the period of you membership. This can included giving up your own time or work you have done for the KISS group at events such as the BIG KISS etc.
My main involvement has been with the planning and delivery of the “Big KISS” and the previous very successful careers and training Fairs that have been of benefit to the wider Congleton Community and offered young people in education the opportunity to look at the wide range of opportunities available to them with local employers, colleges and training providers
WHY/BENEFITS Tell us why you joined the KISS group, why you are still involved in its activities and what benefits being a member of the group has brought you.
The Kiss group offers excellent networking opportunities. My role as a careers adviser makes it essential for me to know about employment and training opportunities to keep the advice that I am offering current and accurate. The group members have been very generous in offering their time and sponsorship. They have shared their experience and knowledge with Young people as visiting speakers, for mock interviews and work experience. KISS also forms that essential bridge between Education and the world of work and is a useful forum in which the two meet.
